Residents of Maplewood and Richmond Heights were fatally injured in a crash Tuesday night in Webster Groves, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The driver, Roman N. Helm Jr., was pronounced dead at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. His passenger, Anthony Gilliam, died at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the Post-Dispatch reports.
The accident took place at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North Laclede Station Road and Big Bend Boulevard.
Webster Groves Police Capt. Stephen Spear said they were heading east on Big Bend. He said investigation suggests they ran a stop light and hit a second car heading south on Laclede Station.
Helm, 53, lived in the 7500 block of Sussex Avenue in Maplewood. Gilliam, 44, lived in the 1700 block of Stockard Avenue in Richmond Heights.
