Police: suspects try to steal $1,700 of goods from Promenade store

Thursday, Jan. 22

  • At 4:11 p.m. police were called to a business in the 1500 block of Hanley Road for a theft report. A cell phone was taken.

Friday, Jan. 23

  • At 10:05 p.m. officers responded to a business in the Brentwood Promenade for a shoplifting report. Two women, 22 years old and 17 years old, were arrested for stealing. They had two carts full of items worth over $1700.

Saturday, Jan. 24

  • On Jan 24th, at 8:50 a.m. police responded to a business in the 84oo block of Eager Road for a shoplifting report. A 27-year-old man was arrested for stealing. He had taken a bottle of vodka.

Tuesday, Jan. 27

  • At 4:25 p.m. police responded to a business in the 8300 block of Eager Road for a shoplifting report. A 28-year-old man was arrested for robbery. He had taken three sets of headphones and assaulted a security guard.
  • At 5:15 p.m. police responded to a business in the 8700 block of Manchester Road for a shoplifting report. A 62-year-old man was arrested for stealing. He had taken six porterhouse steaks.

Wednesday, Jan. 28

  • At 6:30 a.m. police received two calls for cars stolen while warming. One was in the 1900 block of St Clair Ave and one was in the 8800 block of Pine Ave. Both vehicles were unlocked and warming.
