Maplewood Richmond Heights seniors, Janai Robinson and Gracie Biedenstein led the Blue Devils on Senior Night against Wright City, with 16 and 13 points respectively.
MRH started behind but tied it at 18 at halftime. The Blue Devils won the nail-biter 41-39.
Biedenstein finished the night 61 points short of a 1,000-point career. She has three regular season games and districts to make the goal, so it’s looking good. She had 27 in the previous game, against Confluence, and is averaging 17.
Freshman Ellen Wermuth had 10 against Wright City. With minimal playing time she’s up to 185 on the season, shooting 31 percent from 3-point range.
