Dorene Olson arrives at Forest Park with her trained border collie named Piper, and the tools of her trade, nets and carry boxes.
Two domestic Pekin ducks have been living in Forest Park, being kept alive by people who stop by to feed them. They can’t fly and were vulnerable so Dorene Olson and helpers associated with the Pekin Duck Fund tried several times to capture them. Olson often uses her border collie that is trained to help in duck and geese round-ups.
