Monday, May 11
- An officer saw several men standing in the middle of the street in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue. The officer observed one of the males acting suspicious. As the officer walked towards the them, two of the men immediately ran north on Yale. Upon canvassing the area where the males were last seen running, the officer found a discarded firearm. A check of the firearm revealed it was reported stolen from a vehicle in Illinois in 2014.
- Police are investigating a larceny from an auto in the 2000 block of Yale Avenue. Someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole credit cards and several gift cards from her purse.

Friday, May 15
- Police are investigating the theft of a cell phone which occurred at a Maplewood Commons business. The victim reported setting her phone down on a counter at the business for a brief moment. When she realized she left her phone on the counter, she returned and discovered it was missing.
- Police responded to the 7200 block of Sarah Avenue for a reported disturbance. Police made contact with a man and woman who were arguing. Both parties were issued summons for disorderly conduct.
- Police arrested a 36-year-old woman for stealing approximately $365 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 30-year-old woman for stealing approximately $145 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Saturday, May 16
- Police arrested a 39-year-old man on tampering in the first degree charges. Police stopped the vehicle on the parking lot of a Maplewood Commons business upon discovering that it was reported stolen out of another state. Charges are pending at this time.
- Police responded to the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue for a reported disturbance and arrested a 19-year-old man and 19-year-old woman on domestic assault charges. An investigation revealed that the male and female were involved in an argument which escalated into a fight.
Sunday, May 17
- Police arrested a 23-year-old man in the 7200 block of Southwest Avenue for disturbing the peace and a drug violation.
