Bomb scare: police close Manchester for half an hour

According to Maplewood Police, a man made a bomb threat to a staff member of the People’s Health Center (7200 Manchester Road) Monday evening. While police investigated they closed Manchester between Southwest and Yale avenues for about a half hour beginning around 6 p.m. Monday.

Maplewood Sgt. Matt Nighbor said the St. Louis regional bomb squad was called in for assistance and nothing was found.

He said police are interviewing the man who made the threat and charges are pending.

  1. I hope they make him pay the equivalent of salaries of all FR’s for the duration of the event. And I hope he goes to jail. I personally watched the towers coming down and bomb threats are NOT FUNNY.
