Using “Compton & Dry’s Pictorial St. Louis”, one of the most important maps in American history, we’ll explore the sensations and experiences of being in the city’s streets, homes, and factories 140 years ago. From its busy center to its rural outskirts, past sparkling mansions and congested tenements, surprises wait at every turn.
