The Optimist Club of Brentwood, and Maplewood Richmond Heights Boy Scout Troop 362 are again selling Christmas trees: The Optimists are next to Gene-Del Printing, at 9019 Manchester Road and the MRH scouts are at V.F.W. Post 3500 at 1717 S Big Bend Boulevard.
The managers of both lots talked with 40 South News about their trees.
In Brentwood, Keith Habermehl has worked the lot since 1987 and has been chairman for 10 years. He said they started out with 355 trees and have about 115 left, as of Sunday afternoon.
Debbie Siebert runs the lot for the MRH Boy Scout troop. She said she took it over after Jack Pierson died in 2009. They started with 185 trees and are down to 29, also on Sunday.
