Work on the Ryan Hummert Memorial had come to a halt in the cinder block stage for the past few weeks, waiting on granite to be delivered from overseas. It arrived today.
The polished black granite was unloaded from a shipping container on site at Ryan Hummert Memorial Park Tuesday morning. It is pre-cut for the design of the memorial. Maplewood City Manager Marty Corcoran said it should take two to three weeks to install the granite.
