Kevin R. Rosenthal, 45, of the 2200 block of Olive Street, St. Louis, has been accused of stealing an Apple iPhone from an employee’s locker at World Market, in the Promenade, according to police and court records.
The victim reported that her iPhone — valued at $600 — had been stolen from an unlocked locker in the employee break room at the store. A fellow employee said he had seen a man standing at the locker, apparently removing something from her locker, although he couldn’t be certain what was removed.
The man quickly fled the area, but then returned moments later and told the employee that he “did not do anything” and was looking for the bathroom. He was identified from surveillance video taken from elsewhere in the store, and from a photo lineup.
He was apprehended several months later but declined to make a statement. He was charged with stealing over $500, a Class C felony.
