MSD work to turn north on Bellevue

An employee of J.H. Berra Paving Co. said Monday that the work burying MSD storm sewer pipes on Southwest Avenue — including pouring new concrete — should be finished by the end of January, weather permitting.

Southwest Avenue has been closed since April 2015 for the work. Crews are now up to the corner of Southwest and Bellevue Avenue. The employee said he hopes to turn the corner onto Bellevue by Friday. After that they’ll go up Bellevue all the way to Bruno Avenue.

They’ll also bury a 12-inch line to Schlafly Bottleworks from the corner of Southwest and Bellevue, which shouldn’t take long, and the road will remain open, he said.

  1. Whose BRILLIANT plan is this?! What happens to the #16 metro bus???? I live on Sarah and have to walk 3 blks. rerouting now, if I have to walk pass Bruno I might as well walk to work….

  2. Is this going to block access to the little parking lot at the corner of Bellevue and Manchester? That lot is small, but indispensable to the neighborhood.
