Friday morning the owners of Airedale Antics announced the results of their rebranding. Co-owner Tony Phipps climbed a ladder, held by Maplewood Mayor Barry Greenberg, and cut the lines, unveiling their new name: The Healthy Pet House.
Phipps said several years ago that he asked his daughter Eryn to help him make the store look nicer, and she asked him, “Dad, what do you do?” and he said he answered her, “I sell pet supplies,” and she said, “no, what do you do?”
He said finally told her, “I’m all about pet health,” and that’s where the rebranding came from. He said that discussion was when Eryn was in high school, and from then it’s been a long slow process. She now has a degree in interior design with a minor in marketing. “Everything you see couldn’t have happened if not for her,” Phipps said.
“Our new name represents us better,” Eryn said. “It’s really what we do, and our tag line, ‘Because pets are family too,’ is really who we are,” she said. “That was really an important part in the rebranding — communicating that love for pets. And really, the end goal is to reach more pets in the community.”
Very nice owner, really good with our dog, and it’s so, so easy to shop there. Huge selection, and always enjoyable shopping.
