Chevy and Honda stolen last Wednesday, police say

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 3

  • A 55-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business
  •  A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

  • A 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested on for a drug violation resulting from a traffic stop conducted near W. Bruno and Maplewood Commons Drive.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

  • A 2005 Honda was reported stolen from the 3000 block of Sutton between 3:45 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.  The vehicle was recovered in a parking lot in University City early the following morning.  Police are investigating the incident.
  • A 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck was reported stolen from the 7900 block of Jaguar Trail. The vehicle was recovered in another state in the evening the same day. A person of interest has been identified.
  • A vehicle stolen from another jurisdiction was located in a parking lot in the 7900 block of Manchester Road.

Thursday, Feb. 6

  • A vehicle was broken into between 3 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. in the 2000 block of Alameda. Cash and a firearm were reportedly stolen.
    A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
    A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
