Blocker, in his first year of organized basketball, leads the metropolitan region in blocks and rebounds, according to the report. The Blue Devils stand at 14-8 with the regular season almost over. The district tournament begins Monday at host, Whitfield. Number 2 seed MRH will play 7-seed Principia (6-14) at 6:30 p.m. Number 6 seed Brentwood (12-8) plays 4-seed John Burroughs (5-14) at 5 p.m.
Romelle Person is undefeated in the regular season, including winning the Class 1 District 1 championship. He heads to the state meet on Thursday along with two other MRH wrestlers; Brentwood is sending six.
