Maplewood Richmond Heights head boys basketball coach, Corey Frazier, has recently been named a coach for USA Basketball, the governing body for men’s and women’s basketball in the United States.

Frazier is being brought in as an Elite Coach, coaching some of the top high school, college and professional athletes in the country. Only about 25 coaches are invited into this organization, according to MRH.

Frazier is also a Pure Sweat Basketball Camps coach in St. Louis.

“This is a dream come true, to be acknowledged as one of the best coaches in the country, it is truly a blessing,” Frazier told the school district. “Thankful for the opportunity and I am happy to be able to represent my country and my hometown and MRHSD.”

USA Basketball is responsible for the selection, training and fielding of USA teams that compete in International Basketball Federation sponsored competitions, as well as for some national competitions, and for the development of youth basketball.

Frazier reports to camp in Denver on October 7. International competitions begin in June in Europe.
