According to court and police records, Michael S. Summers, Sr., 28, of Belleville, IL, on April 3, was charged with possessing heroin and fentanyl at 62 Brentwood Promenade Ct. A Brentwood officer responded to a call of a possible theft, and Summers matched the description given by the caller. Summers admitted he had a syringe and a pill capsule in his pocket.
Keith J. Witherspoon, 30, of St. Louis, stole two spools of wire and other merchandise from the Brentwood Home Depot store. He put the items in a shopping cart and pushed it out of the store without paying. He was caught outside the store and the merchandise was recovered. He has pleaded guilty to stealing twice previously — in 2015 and 2009.
