Starbucks: some open, other coffee options on Christmas

Those who need their daily Starbucks may need to adjust their schedule or travel farther on Christmas day. Here’s a rundown of which is open and when on December 25.

There are alternatives, but not many. You’ve been warned.

Open Starbucks on Christmas Day — shorter hours:

  • 2300 S Brentwood Boulevard: open 6 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • 7036 Clayton Avenue (near Cheshire Hotel): 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • 6622 Chippewa Street (Chippewa & Lansdowne): 6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Closed Starbucks on Christmas Day:

  • 9616 Manchester Road (Rock Hill)
  • Target store in Brentwood Promenade

Dunkin’ Donuts — open Christmas Day

  • 1754 S Hanley Road; 5 a.m. – 3 p.m. (open every day of the year, employee said)
  • 9860 Manchester Road (Rock Hill): regular opening hours, early closing (mid-afternoon)

Foundation Grounds — open Christmas Day

  • 7298 Manchester Road: open 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Kaldi’s Coffee — closed Christmas Day

  • 700 De Mun Avenue: closed Christmas day, open Christmas Eve until 3 p.m.
  • Schnucks in Richmond Center: closed

Kayak’s Coffee — closed Christmas Day

  • 270 N Skinker Boulevard: closed Christmas day

Tim Hortons — closed Christmas Day

  • 2750 S Big Bend Boulevard : closed Christmas Day, open New Years Day

White Castle — closed Christmas Day

  • 7485 Manchester Road: closed Christmas Day, open every other day of the year

  1. I had my Starbucks entrance planned out every day because of that location. I would drive past the store, turn left into the post office, cut through the lot, turn right out of the post office and then turn right into Starbucks. Worked every time and didn’t cause headaches for anyone. Life hack!

  2. Not really related to this article except it’s about the Starbucks on Brentwood. That location is causing traffic headaches in the mornings. The right lane is being blocked by people trying to get in and out. Also twice now I’ve had idiots going south/west making u-turns right in front of me as I’m turning right from Rosalie. I have nothing against Starbucks but that location was not thought out very well.

  3. Just don’t understand why people don’t brew there own coffee at home, save money, and let these poor people enjoy there day.
