Have you ever suffered from pollen allergies? Plant allergies are complex. This talk will take you through the structure of plants and how to select varieties that minimize allergen occurrence and your exposure to them. If you as a gardener understand how plants work and how to select the correct species, you can choose plants to minimize allergen occurrence and your exposure to them.

You will learn some of the most common plant pollen allergens, their myths and realities. Presented by Carol Gravens, a St. Louis Advanced Level Master Gardener. Carol gives talks and classes on orchids to various groups in the community and at Missouri Botanical Garden as part of the Master Gardener Speakers’ Bureau, as well as other classes on a variety of topics related to plants.
