The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has published the salaries of all teachers in the St. Louis area by district. Neither Brentwood or Maplewood Richmond Heights districts made the list of the top 11.
The district with the best-paid teachers is Clayton. The median teacher salary there is $74,195, with 2673 students enrolled and 306 educators.
The median teacher pay at Brentwood School District is $57,952, with 795 students enrolled and 95 educators. The Brentwood superintendent, David Faulkner (listed as Ronald Faulkner in the P-D), is paid $180,980. Faulkner is due to retire after July, to be replaced by Dr. Brian Lane.
The median teacher pay at Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is $56,767, with 1,279 students enrolled and 137 educators. MRH superintendent, Karen Hall, is paid $169,744.
