Taste of Maplewood 2014: the winners, the crowds

The sixth annual Taste of Maplewood drew crowds to Sutton Boulevard all Saturday afternoon and evening to enjoy the music on two stages and to taste what Maplewood restaurants had to offer.

Feast Magazine publisher, Catherine Neville; Riverfront Times food writer, Nancy Stiles and KMOX’s Charlie Brennan chose winners in four categories.

  • Best Sweet Tooth – Pie Oh My, Lemon Lavendar Blueberry Pie
  • Best Unexpected Flavor – Kakao Chocolate, Roasted Banana Black Sesame Bar
  • Best Cocktail – Maya Cafe, Sangarita
  • Best Taste of Maplewood – Las Palmas, Ceviche

  1. Thanks for keeping the news coming…all we could ask for in a local paper. But you are covering the Maplewood Richmond Heights Schools, NOT the Maplewood Schools. Even though your paper doesn’t purport to cover Richmond Heights, I’m subscribing because of your news coverage of the schools, and we who go to school at MRH but live in the “RH” are wanting our school stories covered too. Thanks for your attention.
