A hundred years ago, people in St. Louis were concerned about many of the same things we are:  war & peace, politics, & new ways that challenged & threatened old traditions & ideas of propriety.  The 1910s was the decade of the First World War. It was also a decade that took us from the corseted lady with a parasol to the flapper with a cigarette.
