The Vintage Car Rally Association has awarded a $15,300 grant to Giant Steps, a therapeutic school and a specialized summer camp for children and teens with autism spectrum disorders in St. Louis, according to a press release.

The funds will support the school’s community vocation program and will equip a vocational lab and special classroom at Giant Steps that will help prepare students for employment and volunteering in the community.

The grant also includes funds to purchase computer technology equipment allowing students to complete class work and do research and practice their skills. The equipment will also allow students to have more effective interaction with their teachers and occupational therapists.

VCRA is an entirely volunteer organization allowing all proceeds to directly to the immediate needs of selected Autism programs. The group has donated over $500,000 to selected autism programs across the country.
