Andrew Hartnett, 28, filed to run for alderman, Ward 3, Tuesday morning at Brentwood City Hall.
He is a regional facilities manager for a large property management company, managing more than a million square feet of commercial space and about 500 residential units, he said.
“I believe there needs to be some new faces on the board,” he said. “I also believe Ward 3 is underrepresented where I live. The two current alderman live on the same street. I have some pretty good ideas for the future. Possibly there’s been some stifling of city business that needs to improve.”
Hartnett lives on Cecelia Avenue.
