For 17 years, Maplewood-area chiropractor, Dr. William Madosky has done a bike ride for charity. On Saturday he rode 100 miles, raising $3,500 for Artists First.

Madosky rode solo on the KATY trail, from Jefferson City to Creve Coeur Lake. His goal was to finish in under nine hours, which he accomplished.

He reported on Facebook that he saw a fog-shrouded sunrise, squirrels, rabbits, turtles and an eagle. He also thanks everyone who contributed.

Artists First is a Maplewood based not-for-profit organization offering art based programs for people with developmental disabilities, pervasive mental illness and traumatic brain injury.

His bike after the ride. He said the tires were black when he started the ride. The trail’s crushed rock made them grey.
