NHB KnifeWorks has taken over the lease at 7328 Manchester Road in Maplewood, where the sisters at Roots Antiques recently retired.
NHB Knifeworks is a specialty knife company creating handmade, one-of- a-kind culinary knives and accessories that have won acclaim from chefs around the country, including Tom Colicchio, of Top Chef fame, who named NHB’s Thai Basil knife-line part of his “Curated Collection” on the DARA Artisans website, according to a release from NHB KnifeWorks.
NHB Knifeworks was co-founded by Nate Bonner and Melody Noel. Bonner, the creative force behind all NHB products, is both a trained chef and skilled knife-maker. Noel, CEO of NHB, is a former attorney and is Bonner’s step-mother.
The company sells online. The new Maplewood store will allow customers to see and hold our knives prior to purchase.
There will also be a viewing area to watch the knife-making process. In addition to the company’s own line of culinary knives, the new store will feature other artisan Made-in-America products. “We want people to know that the manufacturing of high quality products in the USA is going strong, and growing, right here in our own backyard,” said Bonner.
NHB KnifeWorks plans to open on July 8, to coincide with Maplewood’s annual, “Let Them Eat Art” Festival.
Cool!
