Maplewood Richmond Heights girls soccer defeated Brentwood in overtime Thursday at Gateway STEM to win the Class 1 District 2 championship, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Sophomore Lily Sporleder scored the winning goal, giving MRH its second consecutive and second-ever district title. Junior keeper Emma Sabath had seven saves.
Maplewood will host St. Vincent May 23 in a Class 1 quarterfinal. MSHSAA posts the game location as “variable.”
