All the tables and chairs in the bar and dining have been moved to the patio for the week.

Schlafly Bottleworks will be getting a facelift this week, and as a result the bar and dining room will be closed for business Monday, Feb. 24, through Friday, Feb. 28, when the bar reopens. The dining room will reopen Saturday. The bar reopening will include Strange Donuts.

Restaurant manager, Scot Smelser said the reason for the work is for safety and to roll out a new look for The Bottleworks, which opened in Maplewood 10 years ago. Within two weeks the whole interior will have all new colors.

Other projects at the Bottleworks:

  • The tour room will have a new large window looking into the brewery.
  • Reclaimed wood will be used on the top and back of the bar in a new design.
  • New packaging for all the beer styles will be released throughout the year, and the artwork will used on the interior.
  • The kitchen and tank farm floors will be replaced (this is the safety part).
