About a hundred runners and walkers took part in The Milk Donor Dash Saturday, a race through Maplewood to support the non-profit Indiana Mother’s Milk Bank, which has a breast milk collection depot locally at Cardinal Glennon.
Maplewood business Amber Sky ( 3100 Sutton Boulevard) organized the run. “By raising awareness, we hope to make it easier for St. Louis-area families with extra milk to know that they can share their extra breast milk and help other babies, especially those who are critically ill, as these babies are given priority,” Amber Sky states on its website.
