On Wednesday our fifth grade students graduated from the D.A.R.E. program. This program teaches the students decision making for safe and healthy living.
Our D.A.R.E. officer and the new Brentwood police chief were on hand to help celebrate with the students. D.A.R.E. envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse and other dangerous behaviors.
All of the students wrote an essay and two were chosen to read their essay at the graduation. We are proud of all of the students and are happy that they enjoyed this program while learning to make safe decisions.
