Municipal judge Patrick Dignam oversaw swearing in Brentwood’s three new aldermen Tuesday night, and another who was re-elected for an eighth term.
David Dimmitt defeated incumbent Maureen Saunders in Ward 1. Sunny Sims was unopposed in Ward 2. Andy Leahy held on to beat challenger Rocky Ritter in Ward 3. Kathy O’Neill defeated incumbent Patrick Toohey in Ward 4.
Mayor Chris Thornton recognized Cindy Manestar, stepping down as Ward 2 alderman.
Maureen – it scares me that details will not be scrutinized, that is what got us into trouble before and led to the audit. Just saying.
Best of luck to Kathy and I hope to meet her one day soon. I am sorry I missed her when she was around before the election and I know her and Tom will work will together for the good of Brentwood Forest.
This is so good for B’wd. I think these aldermen will bring a calm to BCH. Details will be scrutinized and decisions that reflect the residents will be taken more seriously. Gads! i think i am NOT going to be so “in your face” in posting about the systemic imbalance brought on by Chris v. the former BOA. B’wd is looking, administratively, very hopeful. Well done.
