After years of bumping down Brentwood Boulevard for residents, since approximately 2008 when it was used as a detour when MODot built the new 64/40, Brentwood’s main north-south thoroughfare is in the the process of seeing new asphalt.
Traveling north to south on May 5, beginning at Highway 40, which has been milled but not paved, Brentwood Boulevard goes from rough to smooth.
From the city of Brentwood Public Relations: Crews were out overnight Thursday, paving Brentwood Blvd. All southbound lanes from White Avenue to Manchester Road had the first layer of pavement laid, and one southbound lane from White Avenue to Lawn Avenue has been paved. Northbound lanes between Manchester and Madge Avenue have mostly been paved and one lane from Madge to Lawn has been done. Weather dependent, expect to see crews working and paving Friday night.
Heck, it was better after they scraped the asphalt off, than it was with the asphalt on it!
No doubt!!
