Brentwood Eagle Eagle Scout Joey Musial is recognized at a board of aldermen meeting.

Brentwood Ward 3 Aldermen Andy Leahy spoke for the city at the board of aldermen meeting Feb. 3 when he read a proclamation recognizing the achievements of Brentwood Eagle Scout Joey Musial.

Musial served his Boy Scout troop in leadership roles for a year, served the community with 28 hours of service, participated in 99 nights of camping, hiked more than 138 miles and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.

He completed his Eagle Scout award on July 3, 2013, by planning, organizing and providing leadership to help build a butterfly garden for Concord Elementary School, which he attended.

He has also had CPR and National Youth Leadership training.
