Brentwood Ward 3 alderman, Andy Leahy is helping out with a local food drive taking place on election day, June 2, 2020. He sent this information.

Brentwood voters go to the polls on June 2nd to cast votes in the recently postponed April municipal election.  The current events of the past two months have changed all our lives.  As the Brentwood Community we have an opportunity to make the “City of Warmth” an active physical example of a sharing and caring community for those in need.

On June 2nd when you come to vote bring some canned goods or paper products to donate to help those in need.  The items will be distributed to the McKnight Crossing Christians Who Care, St Mary Magdalen St Vincent De Paul and CARE organizations to help local families in need.

Specifically, food banks often need items like:

I. Peanut butter
II. Canned soup
III. Canned fruit
IV. Canned vegetables
V. Canned stew
VI. Canned fish
VII. Canned beans
VIII. Canned meats
IX. Pasta (most prefer whole grain)
X. Rice (most prefer brown rice)
XI. Paper towels and toilet paper

The polling places for the June 2 election and where your donations will be accepted are: (revised as of May 8, 2020)

  • Ward 1 – Brentwood Rec Center and Hudson Elem School
  • Ward 2-  The Heights in Richmond Heights
  • Ward 3 – Brentwood Rec Center and The Heights in Richmond Heights
