Brentwood High School students Ben Haug, Meghan Haug and Zach Arrindell competed in the MSHSAA State Debate Tournament over the weekend in Springfield, with the Haugs qualifying to the final round, according to team coach Robyn Haug.
“It has been a few years since Brentwood has had a state finalist, and I am so excited that we had two this year. It was an amazing weekend!” Haug said in an email to debate parents (and to 40 South).
Ben Haug was a State finalist in Storytelling. Meghan Haug was a finalist in Radio Speaking. Zach Arrindell was 12th in Prose.
Brentwood coach, Robyn Haug was also recognized; she received the Outstanding Speech, Debate, and Theater Educator award.
