Julius Bestman, a senior at Brentwood High School, is one of five St. Louis area teens selected to be part of the 2015 Bank of America Student Leaders program this summer, according to a press release.
The program awards the students a paid, eight-week summer internship at a local nonprofit and a trip to Washington, D.C. in July to participate in the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit. Bestman is interning at United Way of Greater St. Louis.
The internships provide students with valuable work experience while also supporting the nonprofits with extra help this summer.
Bestman recently took part in the St. Louis Science Center Internship and Leadership program, an opportunity for high school students to gain transferable skills in a fun and educational environment.
