Jamie Votaw, 35, of the 8900 block of West Pendleton, in Brentwood has been charged with robbing a woman in downtown Kirkwood on March 28, according to the Webster-Kirkwood Times. He was charged on March 31.
Votaw told police he robbed the woman because he needed money to support his drug habit, according to the Kirkwood Police Department.
A tip led police to Votaw’s apartment after police released photos of the gray, extended cab 4×4 pickup truck he was seen in as it left the area of the robbery.
Votaw is being held on $100,000 bond on the first degree robbery charge, according to court records.
