Brentwood Board of Aldermen, Monday 7 p.m.
- Brentwood Board of Aldermen will vote on agreements with Hanley Industrial Court Association, Pelagic LLC and Will Electronics.
- There will also be votes to approve fireworks at Madenfest, and consuming beer and wine at upcoming events.
Also in Brentwood, the Board of Adjustment meets 7 p.m. Thursday and the mayor’s monthly coffee with residents is 9 a.m. Friday.
Maplewood City Council, Tuesday 7:30
- Authorize the city manager to renew the city’s dental insurance for city employees.
- A resolution allowing a city employee to take out a loan from the retirement plan.
- A resolution authorizing the city manager to accept a bid for an asphalt overlay project.
- An ordinance establishing the sewer lateral fee at $39, as stated in inofrmation sent to residents.
- The council will also recognize residents who completed the spring Citizen’s Academy.
Richmond Heights City Council, Monday 7:30
- Second reading of a bill approving the development plan for Boys Hope Girls Hope, to be built on the street north of the new Menards.
- Second reading of a bill to blight the area where a new Manhassett Village is to be built. The blighting is needed to approve tax abatement for the apartment development. (70 percent for 10 years)
- Final vote authorizing authorizing adding Brentwood and Rock Hill to the East Central Dispatch Center.
- New council members Reginald Finney and Dan Sebben will be sworn in, followed by a reception.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will sponsor a drug take-back event for expired and unwanted prescription drugs. Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights police departments, and THE HEIGHTS are all collection spots. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
