Brentwood officials Monday approved spending more than $5 million on renovations to the Recreation Center, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
At its meeting Monday, Brentwood officials approved a $5.8 million lease purchase providing $5.1 million for the renovations, as well as $690,000 to refinance what is still owed for renovations to the library and a new fire station in 2003, the Post-Dispatch reports.
Last November Mayor Pat Kelly listed the work to be done at the Rec Center as adding up to about $2.9 million.
The community center renovations include bringing it up to current codes, upgrading the ice rink, making the it ADA accessible, and replacing the roof and sprinklers.
