Brentwood aldermen, in a meeting Monday night, approved a temporary liquor license for the Clayton merchant of craft beer, Craft Beer Cellar, to sell craft beer and wine at Maddenfest, Brentwood’s community festival, according to Brentwood Mayor Chris Thornton, by email.

A temporary liquor license was also approved for the Brentwood High School Parents to sell alcohol at Maddenfest. Thornton said no action was taken in closed session. See the agenda.

This year Maddenfest is September 16 and 17. It’s at Brentwood Park, on Russel Road.

The Maplewood City Council, in early August, rejected Craft Beer Cellar’s request for a permit for a Maplewood location, at at 7415 Manchester Road. At the following meeting about a dozen residents supported the business in the public hearing.
