Two Brentwood parking lots got top mention in a recent St. Louis Post-Dispatch article about the most aggravating in St. Louis.
“When we put out a query asking which local parking lots are the most aggravating, a few immediately rose to the top of reader responses in frequency and ire: The Promenade at Brentwood, West County Center and Brentwood Square.”

Parking lots at Loughborough Commons, Telegraph Plaza, Grasso Plaza in Affton, Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre and any Walmart are also mentioned.
There’s advice to save time and avoid stress, too: “Don’t circle and circle hunting for the ideal space. Just take the first space,” Eran Ben-Joseph, professor of landscape architecture and urban planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, told the Post-Dispatch.

I was told the spaces at the Promenade are not within code because the individual spaces are to narrow. I’m no authority on this, I am just stating what I was told by a person of knowledge of the code.
About 10-20% of the problem at Brentwood Square is that people use it as a commuter lot. They park their cars, and leave them all day – some are still there after 11:00 at night, and sometimes for more than one day. It’ll take a special attendant from the business owners to curb this; it’s not public property for the Brentwood police to patrol.
