“The transition was relatively smooth,” he said. “We look forward to our partnership with ECDC.

“We say goodbye to our dispatchers, Lori Beckman, Shannon Evans, Jeremy James, Danielle Ploch, Judy Coleman and Aaron Smith,” Fitzgerald says.

“They served the Brentwood community in a professional and caring way. Two of our dispatchers were hired at ECDC and another has moved to Ladue PD. We wish all of them the best and we thank them for their hard work and devotion to both the police and fire departments.”

Fitzgerald said in an email to 40 South News that all dispatchers received a severance package this week, and it was the same for all. They received a 12-week package, according to the minutes of a May 19 board of aldermen meeting.

Brentwood is now on the ECDC North channel, which will be shared with Richmond Heights, Clayton and Olivette.

The ECDC North channel frequency is 154.80000. Maplewood police and fire are on ECDC South channel, which is 159.90000.
