What the Eagles might have thought would be a test turned out to be another romp, when they played Principia on Saturday.

The Panthers have a running, gunning quarterback in Matt Gilman, but Brentwood held him to touchdowns in the second and and fourth quarters—the final one with 14 seconds in the game.

The Eagles clobbered the Panthers 55-21, which leaves Brentwood undefeated (8-0) with one regular season game remaining, against Wright City (4-4), at Brentwood on Friday.

Brentwood is the #2 seed in the upcoming district playoffs. Carnahan (6-2) is #1 and Lutheran North (4-4) is #3. The first playoff game is Oct. 31; location and opponent to be determined.

Maplewood Richmond Heights lost to Cardinal Ritter on Friday 6-34 on Friday. The Blue Devils’ last regular season game is at John Burroughs (7-0) on Saturday. MRH is seeded #6, out of eight, is the same tournament as Brentwood.
