Lee Wynn is stepping down as Brentwood Ward 2 alderman, leaving Keith Slusser to run unopposed. Wynn told Slusser he had decided not to run on Tuesday, the last day of filing.
Slusser sent this statement to 40 South News on Tuesday.
“I am excited to be a Ward 2 alderman. I look forward to being of service to the residents, the employees and the City of Brentwood. I would like to thank Lee Wynn for his 24 years of service to Brentwood and I hope to serve the community as well as he did. I also would like to thank my wife Stacy and son Owen for supporting me on this endeavor. I can not wait for April and I would like wish the remaining candidates the best of luck.”
Although Lee did a good job, he was difficult for me to contact. It was impossible to contact him by email and his calls went to voicemail and he didn’t reply. Hopefully, this is a step forward.
