The Brentwood wrestlers swept six teams in a tournament Saturday at John Burroughs, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Brentwood amassed 516 points; the closest was Ladue with 409.
Sumner, Priory, Clayton, Lutheran St. Charles and John Burroughs followed.

Five Eagles took gold:

  • Dexter Ramos (106 pounds)
  • Lucas Jones (126)
  • Blake Kelley (152)
  • Kyle Pudlowski (160)
  • Jordan Reddy (285)

Jones and Pudlowski took all their matches with a pin. Jones won his three matches in 1:23 (Clayton’s Adam Ko), 1:51 (Sumner’s Latrice Washington) and 6:00 (Ladue’s Boruch Smason).

“We’re a really young team, but we wrestled really well,” Brentwood coach Roy Hughes told the Post Dispatch. “The whole team came together, they supported each other and they worked really hard.”
