Brentwood Chief of Police Dan Fitzgerald posted about a burglary, and the subsequent arrest, on the Brentwood Police Department’s website:
On Sunday morning, we received a call for a burglary at St Louis Vapor in the 2500 block of Brentwood Blvd. Someone had broken a window, entered the business, and taken several items. Surveillance video from the store showed the suspect.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sgt. Hattie Carman observed a man walking in the 1900 block of Brentwood Blvd. She believed, due to some unique characteristics and clothing, that the man may be the suspect from the burglary.
After investigating, the 35 year old man was arrested. He later confessed to committing the crime. Many items that were taken from the business have been recovered.
Thanks to Sgt. Carman, the members of her shift, and the assistance from our Detective bureau. Great job!
