The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 1

  • Police arrested a 25-year-old man on domestic assault third charges for allegedly assaulting another household member in the 2600 block of Bredell.
  • A 2014 Honda Pilot was reported stolen from the 2500 block of Florent Avenue. The owner of the reported that he left his vehicle running to warm up. A few moments later, out a window, he saw his vehicle driving away. On Dec. 6, another agency apprehended four men who were seen breaking into vehicles. One of them had in his possession the keys belonging to the above Honda Pilot. The vehicle has not been recovered as of this time. Police are investigating and vehicle theft charges are pending at this time.

Tuesday, Dec. 2

  • Police arrested a 54-year-old man in the 2500 block of Big Bend for disturbing the peace.

Wednesday, Dec. 3

  • Police responded to the 2500 block of Big Bend for a reported disturbance.  Police contacted a 39-year-old woman and 33-year-old man who said they had been arguing. No arrests were made or charges filed.
  • Police are investigating the theft of approximately $900 in merchandise from a business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station. An unknown female ran past all points of purchase after stealing the merchandise. This is the third such incident in two weeks involving the same female suspect at this location.

Thursday, Dec. 4

  • Police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Friday, Dec. 5

  • Police responded to the 2400 block of Laclede Station Road for a reported disturbance. Police contacted two women who said they had been arguing. No arrests were made or charges filed.
  • Police responded to the 7500 block of Sussex Avenue for a reported assault.  A woman said she was assaulted by her boyfriend who had left the residence before police arrived. Police canvassed the area and found the man several blocks away; he was taken into custody.

Saturday, Dec. 6

  • Multiple vehicles were broken into in the following areas: 7200 block of Lyndover, 7300 block of Vine, 7200 block of Sarah and 7300 block of Myrtle. The suspects pried open the door handles of the some of the vehicles to gain entry and steal miscellaneous property. A vehicle left running in the 7300 block of Vine was also stolen. Update: Four suspects are in custody from information found in a car previously stolen in Maplewood, in another agency.
  • Police arrested a 22-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 19-year-old man on a drug violation in the 7200 block of Zephyr   Place.

Sunday, Dec. 7

  • Police arrested a 27-year-old man for stealing approximately $340 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman on a drug violation resulting from a traffic stop in the area of Maplewood Commons Drive and West Bruno.
