The Maplewood police reported activity for Aug. 1 through Aug. 9.

August 1 – A business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Rd., reported that a male suspect between the ages of 20 and 27 stole approximately $400 worth of clothing. After canvassing the area, police were unable to locate the subject. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Maplewood police.

August 2 – Police were dispatched to a Maplewood Commons business for a larceny in progress. Police were informed that two adult male suspect had left the store with an air soft pistol and several dog collars without paying for them. Police received descriptions of the suspects and after searching the area, they located both men, still in possession of the stolen items.

August 9 – A woman’s purse was found near Deer Creek Park and turned in to police. After searching the bag, police determined the identity of the owner and contacted the owner. The owner responded to the Maplewood Police Station and claimed the handbag.

 

August 9 – Police were called to a Maplewood Commons business for a larceny in progress. Police consulted the loss prevention officer who provided details of the suspect. Police located the adult female suspect who had approximately $110 worth of stolen merchandise.
