Maplewood resident Rita Fuhrmann took these photos of the renovation work at the building at the corner of Manchester Road and Sutton Boulevard and submitted them to 40 South News.
David Schlafly is renovating the building, dividing it for various tenants. The Blue Duck is slated for the rear of the building, toward the parking lot, with its entrance on Sutton.

A worker at the site said they plan to cement over the stairway in the center of the floor, and hopefully save the Art Deco stair rail, in one piece, to be reused.
