At the Maplewood City Council meeting on Tuesday the council is set to consider rezoning 19 acres south of Sunnen Products to make way for high-end apartments and other uses. They will also consider a bill that would clear the way for the new MRH Early Childhood Center kindergarten, and one to allow a business to operate an outdoor food cart on its property.

Item no. 6, a public hearing on a request to rezone approximately 19 acres south of Sunnen Products to a planned unit development for mixed use, including higher end apartments, offices and a car dealership could be developed.
Item no. 7, a public hearing to comments on an amendment to an ordinance to allow food carts outdoors near a business, but not on a public right-of-way.
Item no. 8, a public hearing for the city to receive input on how it should allocate $64,000 in community development block grant funds. Staff recommends that all $64,000 be designated for the home improvement grant program.
