Real estate developer David Schlafly has bought another property in Maplewood. Last year he bought 7434 Manchester Road from Twenty Two Co. and leased it to Gus’s Fried Chicken, which is due to open soon.
On Tuesday Schlafly closed on 7460 Manchester Road — also purchased from Twenty Two Co. — he said by email. It’s two buildings west of Gus’s.
The building was formerly the home of Saint Louis Closet Co. Matt Williams, with Saint Louis Closet Co. said the building was on the market for exactly eight years.
Schlafly said he looks forward to redeveloping it. Also that he doesn’t have a tenant for the building.
Schlafly has previously purchased and redeveloped buildings in Maplewood at 7412 Manchester Road, 2731 Sutton Boulevard and 2810-2818 Sutton Boulevard.
To Bill’s comment, as much as I like Schlafly, I wouldn’t mind having two breweries in Maplewood!
I heard a micro brewery is slated to move in.
Great news, excited to see what comes of the property.
